Should Germany and Austria be cohesive?

Answers:    It might be interesting to note that Germany and Austria be united within 1938 by the ballot box.It was call Anschluss and was immaculately legal. In 1945 the Allied Powers separated Germany and Austria by force of arms.Since unification be accomplished by an see and separation was done at bayonet point, which is lawful and which is not?
There's already an united Europe next to independent countries! They have completely different Histories, sure they speak the some oral communication. Look up German Empire/Otto Von Bismarck and then Austrian/Hapsburg Empire, you'll capture a better feeling why they aren't together.
Why? They enjoy totally separate histories and such?

Having a common discourse does that mean Switzerland should be divided among the nation it speaks?

I believe they should stay as they are, that is a short time ago My opinion though.
Ahm... in that was a time when Germany and Austria be "united", so to speak, and just to remind you: It wasn't exctly the time interval that Germany is loved very much for. And lately because we speak the same idiom does not mean we should be integrated. That's like unite Canada and the US just because they are neighboring states and (mostly) speak alike language (not chitchat about Quebec here).
And anyway: WHY should they be fused? On what grounds? Just because they speak the same vocalizations? So you'd want to unite the US, Great Britain and Australia as all right?
I think Germany and Austria are different countries beside different histories and to unite them would be be in recent times as arbitrary as uniting Spain and France or Poland and Germany or doesn`t matter what.
All the European nations are getting closer together and restrictions when crossing borders within Europe have be lifted over the recent past years, but I don't see why two countries should be merged.
what for ?

we are both part of europe, thats adequate !
Well, as to language, I fairly think Bavaria (where I'm from) should mingle with Austria, as at lowest possible the southern Part of Bavaria speaks a dialect similar to Austrian. But: Only similar, not at all matching. And the southern dialect is hard to follow for the northerners, and vice versa. Where the correct German word for "this year" would be "dieses Jahr", we southerners say "heuer", and what we name a "Kn"odel" (dumpling) is a "Kloss" in the north. So unification would bring something like language problems we don't have need of; but I suppose it could be fun to have Austrians within the "Bundestag", the German parliament.

But since we have the EU and in that are no more borders in effect, it have become as easy to drive from my home place down south to Austria resembling to the neighbor village, so why should we interweave countries if we're all states of the European Union? I hold some friends in Austria and I similar to their special style. And if they sometimes call me a "Piefke" (derogatory Austrian word for a German, originally connotation a Prussian) and I call them ""Osi" or worse, we both know that that's fun.

Musically, Austria and Bavaria fused in the 1980s. There be many singers/songwriters from Austria who become famous contained by Bavaria, and many Bavarians who become famous within Austria, because they sung in the local dialect, and that could be hidden in both countries, but NOT contained by the rest of Germany. Still I found people within Berlin listening to Konstantin Wecker (Bavaria), Rainhard Fendrich (Austria), or Haindling (Bavaria). Just to first name a few. [You can check these out on YouTube if you like.]

So we're matteroffactly already combined. What more could we wish?
I don't judge so. Yes they speak the same poetry, but I don't think that they should part them. I think that they should in recent times stay Germany, and Austria. But that's just my personal inference. =) Why not?

Well Austria and Bayer (BAVARIAN) have more o smaller quantity the same cultural circumstance.
But the Austrian and North-Germany cultures and way of thinking are totaly different.
Both are socialist/far moved out.....why not?
