Frankfurt airport?
i have a flight at 11.20 from frankfurt ( terminal 2)and i hold to check in 2hrs past (paper ticket). is it possible to make it, if my train will arrived at frankfurt at 8.57 ( within are no other earlier train). this is the first time i turn from frankfurt airport.
Answers: Don't let adjectives these people terrify you.
You will make it. The Frankfurt Airport is big and intimidating, to be precise true, but Terminal 2 is much much smaller and "over-seeable"
I would suggest the 2 hour rule in Terminal 1 for sure since at hand are long long distances between check-in and the gates. But even at hand, Lufthansa has a 35 minute deadline up to that time departure which means you are still competent to check-in with loads and receive a boarding pass.
In Terminal 2, although at hand are very short walking distances, within are many "American" airlines near strict security controls which could stern up if you dont give yourself ample time.
You might want to see if you are able to Check-in the hours of darkness before beside your airline. Most allow this after 6pm the previous day. That would collect you tons of time and stress.
If all else fail, contact your airline for their deadlines...but honestly, you hold over 2 hours to get on your flight. You will be fine.
relax and delight in your trip
Nope,
Frankfurt airport is huge and unorganized. They have a strict 2 hour rule on checking surrounded by for INTL flights. If you are not at the counter before 9:00 they will not permit you check in. I don;t be determined in splash, I mean at the counter. The agent cannot net an exception.
Sorry!
Angel, having be through there beside train connections I think you know you are pushing the borders.I really don't think you can product it..sometimes the security chain is an hour long... If you arrive at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, there will be Trains to the airport every 3-7 Minutes. Travelling time is going on for 12-15 Minutes. You can check it on the website of Deutsche Bahn (in english):
http://www.bahn.de/p/view/international/...
The main station within Frankfurt is "Hauptbahnhof". For the airport it's just "Airport"! :-)
But ways are long at the airport, especially when you want to progress to Terminal 2! There is an extra Check-In, just when you come out of the "Fernbahnhof". Its call "Check-in T". Here is a list of the airlines you can check contained by there:

Then you enjoy enough time at the airport.
I hope this help you. Have a nice flight!
Hi, if your train stops directly underneath the airport than you will make it in need a problem. If your train goes to Frankfurt intermediate station then it might seize tight. You will have to steal a taxi and confer a good tip to sort the man speed a bit. Dont worry in the region of the 2 hrs too much. To make sure your luggage get on the plane you need to be within 60 minutes before and boarding starts appr 30 minutes previously liftoff. No sweat! I think it's risky. Both times I be in Frankfurt airport, the lines be long and hot.
You will be at the airport 8.57 and the flight will be 11.20 from Frankfurt. So you have plenty time (2 hours and 20 minutes) get out the train and progress to the terminal 2 and check in.
Don't believe this citizens, Frankfurt Airport is unorganized, this is not true. It's huge and nice there. Nice flight. When you're arrving at Frankfurt Flughafenbahnhof after you are already in the airport and it is markedly convenient to check in. Check-in time is dependent on the destination and airline. Lufthansa for example recommend a check-in at least 90 minutes earlier departure when travelling to the US. To other destinations, check-in is possible until 40 minutes prior to departure.
I think you might know how to make it if your flight leaves from Terminal 1 and your train is on the dot. (If you have to appropriate the shuttle bus to Terminal 2 it will get highly very close - I would not risk it.) Familarise yourself beside the layout of the airport (see the map http://www.airportcity-frankfurt.de/cms/... )
so that you can get to the counter as in a hurry as you can.
If at all possible, fly next to hand luggage lone. (I've done so even when I went on a 3 weeks holiday travelling contained by Iran.) At the very smallest have luggage that you can glibly roll along with you. Take comfy shoes that you can run next to, it will be necessary!
If in that is really no earlier train, consider taking the end train at the evening and stay in Frankfurt. (In a pinch, I've on occassion slept at airports and train stations - see http://www.sleepinginairports.net/europe... for Frankfurt.)
Hope that be helpful!
Depends on the afternoon you are flying out and how long does it take you to take to the airport on train from where you live becuase you'll be adjectives it close. If it's on a weekend, forget it! It depends where your train stops surrounded by Frankfurt!! If you chose a train that directly goes to the airport, which is possible to both terminal, then you will enjoy no problems in catching your flight. My husband other takes the train to the Frankfurt Flughafen directly. So you may wanna check again where on earth you're train arrives. However, if you end up somewhere surrounded by Frankfurt then you will not be capable of make it surrounded by time, because Frankfurt is a big city, and the airport area itself is huge!
