10 year break , what to do? what to see?

Me, my husband and our then 10 month outdated daughter will be in Berlin for ten days within August. We would like to see sights but also, if the weather is honest, go swimming and do other outdoor stuff, or plainly relax and hold a good time.
What are some polite things we can do during our stay. I would especially be interested in happenings that are also suitable for our daughter (access with the stroller, not too ear-splitting etc...)
Also, what are some good (and not too crowded) places to walk swimming. (both lake and public pools) What are some nice outdoor café (or beergardens)? I am looking forward to your suggestions.

Answers:    I'm from Berlin/Germany ! There are some nice Lakes, by example the "Glienicker See", where I run swimming in the summer ! Or the "Müggelsee" surrounded by the east ! But at the "Wannensee" I wouldn't go swimming, effect this sea is at the downfall of the River "Havel" so that there is adjectives the bad wet from the beginning of the River beside factories !
We've nice parcs, too ! The best is to procure tourist-informations about our City : http://www.berlin.de/english !
:- )
Unfortunately adjectives the old memories of the allieds be been taken away ! So nearby are the old buildings, single !
