(**German speakers**) Help near my German writing assignment?
I have a small interview due tomorrow. This is what I've written so far and it looks pretty accurate to me (it's probably not :P). Anyways, can you please proofread this and correct any contextual errors or grammatical mistakes that are apparent? Also, could you suggest a small anecdote or conclusion that will close the dissertation nicely? I appreciate it. Thanks :D

German is VERY difficult.

Alwin is right...it properly should be Jane and Lockport, Illinois
Jan is actually Dutch and not exceedingly common as a first Name, exept if you natural life near the Dutch border.
Not too bleak!! I am American and not a native German but I implied everything you said in your note. Sure a few grammar errors that enjoy already been fixed for you so no justification to duplicate them.
Alwin is correct, you should spell the names out or general public will think something else possibly.
To the dyslexic German above: I don't believe that there's a mother call Jan, as Jan is the German word for "Ian", and it's a man's name. I devise the mother is called Jane.
Otherwise I completely agree, except that surrounded by German, you don't abbreviate country names, so don't write IL but Irland, the German word for Ireland, or if you niggardly the state of Illinois, write it out.
