Answers: Yeah, i've watched both the french one, and the lebanese one. To put in the picture you the truth, there is a big difference between how family react to it within france and how they react to it within lebanon.
In france, most people find it embarassing to influence that they watch star academy, because it is mostly for infantile people, between the ages of 8 and 17. In lebanon, however, society of all ages voice it proudly that they watch star academy, and it's considered "cool".
I've see the French version here within France (the latest season). It's kinda goofy.

I live in Lebanon,and keep under surveillance the Lebanese star Academy,
its cool,but dont have the French ones!
