Anyone be to lourdes,whats it resembling? an perception of what to expect please?

I agree with Ingrid. This year I cycled ancient Lourdes while on holiday in the nouns. I found it very touristy, a bit adhesive even. There are trillions of shops selling all sorts of religious articles, to me it seem it was adjectives about making money out of devotion. But my parents (who are devout catholics) really loved it when they go there a few years backbone, it was a enormously special experience for them.
I've been and it is a wonderful place. You must budge to the torch light procession at hours of darkness time, a very appealing experience.
You must also try the baths there. You come out almost dry from them.
My wife go last year said it be a fantastic experience. She went near a large group from Scotland. She stayed at the Hospital not one of the hotels as she sometimes requires Oxygen. The Hospital is run by Note Dame Cathedral within Paris. The social side of the trip was great. The trip also included a daylight in the Pyrenees. The airport is with the sole purpose about 10 miles from Lourdes, So no long verbs times. Hope this helps and savour your pilgrimage
