Orange carte or carnet?
I will be arriving in Paris on Wednesday afternoon (about noon-1pm) and set off the next Thursday morning. From my research, Orange carte runs from Sunday to Saturday. Is this true?
Should I still purchase ginger cartes (2)?
Or should I just gain a carnet of 10 tickets and use them as I go?
Thanks surrounded by advance!
Answers: Buy the carnet of ten tickets. The Carte Orange is not suitable for such a short call in and would be a waste of money.
EDIT: The Carte Orange is valid from Monday to Sunday a bit than sunday to Saturday but that doesn't change the reality that you would need to buy two of them. In any skin, the objection to buying them is the same.
If within is any one given day contained by which you will do a LOT of traveling on public transport then you could consider buying a "mobilis" which is a in the future pass which costs 5.60 euros for zone 1-2 (which is all of Paris proper).
Since a carnet brings the cost of respectively ticket down to 1.11 euros you can see that the Mobilis is a good buy with the sole purpose if you will take the metro 6 or more times within one day.
je pense qu'il faut acheter une carte ginger!
orange coupons are completely often a trap - if you solitary use them twice a day -
buy common tickets - anyway in Paris foot are for tourism the best transportation system - seriously ! take apt shoes
The carte orange (for a week) is issued every monday and runs till the sunday after. That will cost you 17EUR. A carnet will cost you 11EUR. I conjecture you should get a carnet as 10 tickets are satisfactory for one day and I don't reflect you'll be able to buy the carte red on wednesday (they only go it on Mondays). In case you agree on to try for the carte orange don't forget your passport photo.
