A friend and I are going to Tours within France, what should we see?
We're 27 into good food, wine, culture etc etc. Please support. Thanks.
Answers: Hi! I lived in Tours for almost 5 years. You won't hold any problem to find good restaurants near, especially in two places: the streets around the "Place Plumereau" and within the district closed to the Cathedral. It's a must to drink Loire Valley wine, generally relatively fruity and less "rough" than a Bordeaux. There're various different ones, my favourites are St Nicolas de Bourgueil for the red wines, and Sancerre for the white ones. I advise you to pop in a wine yard surrounded by Vouvray, very closed to Tours. Tours is evidently the best place to start a visit of the castle of this region. If you have to chose, the most interesting are Chenonceau, Amboise, Loche and Chinon. Amboise, Loche and Chinon are also severely nice small towns, worth staying a few hours in. Otherwise, within Tours itself, you may enjoy a way of walking by night within the old town around the "Place Plumereau". I recommend you to go to the tourism department in front of the prime train station, on the opposite side of the big place, to grasp much info.
Hope you'll enjoy Tours!
Bye
You are going to the right place. You'll find these 3 things contained by abundance. See if you can call round a vinyard. The architectural attractions will be self-evident.
THE EIFELL TOWER.
