Are Bretons and Normans different from other French nation?

Do they identitfy more with British ancestors with whom
they hold an old relationship?

Or are they "Gallic" surrounded by every sense like most French folks?

Answers:    Bretons and Normans are certainly proud of their traditons but I doubt any feel a closer nouns to Britian than to France.

The Normans are of partially Scandanavian derivation since this area be invaded and settled by the Vikings. The Bretons are true Celts.

While you are correct to identify the French as having Celtic origins, they are not roughly taken to be Celtic and are not one of the six "Celtic Nations" as are the Bretons (the other five are Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall, Wales and the Isle of Man).
