10-20must see Paris museum?



Answers:    1. The Louvre: Will need 1 full daytime to visit adjectives of it, but you can probably browse through it in a couple of hours. The Pyramid entrance is amazing.

2. Musee des Arts Decoratifs: Retarces the evolution of Furniture over the finishing millenium. You can wolk through rooms recreated from different periods. Amazing. It is located right subsequent to the Louvre.


Also in that building are the Musee de la Mode et du Textile and the Musee de la Publicite.

3. Musee de Branly (aka Musee Chirac). Openned a couple of years ago. Impressive building designed by Jean Nouvel. It host collections on primitive arts from Australia, Africa, South America and Asia. The Museum is the most beutiful contained by Paris. It is located 5 minutes away from Eiffel Tower, along the Seine.

4. Palais de Tokyo: Opposite the Eiffel Tower, it host 'very' Contemporary art collections. A visit won't bear more than 40 minutes. Definitely worth visiting though because of the crazy art.

5. Musee d Art Moderne: The Parisian MoMA. Located right subsequent to the Palais de Tokyo. The plaza between the two museums offers a great estimation of the Eiffel Tower.

6. Musee Galliera: Devoted to Clothing. It last hosted a retrospective on Jean Charles de Castelbaljac. It is only opposite the Palais de Tokyo, on tyhe same street.

8. Musee des Monuments et du Patrimoine Francais:
Both are right on the Trocadero. The best place to appreciate the Eiffel Tower (right divergent the Tower, with the River within Between. Perfectly aligned with the Champs de Mars). The Musee du des Monuments newly recently open and offers a hulking selection of models of the biggest French monuments.

9. Centre George Pompidou: Kind of isolated (5-10 minutes by taxi to the East of the City). This is again an amazing piece of architecture. It usually host 3-4 different art/history expositions at indistinguishable time. Definitely worth visiting as it is one of the most well-known new building surrounded by Paris.

10. Foundation Cartier: Again, this one is isolated, located toward the south-east part of the city. It is an Art Collection financed by Carier.

11. Louis Vuitton Store on the Champs Elysees. The individual reason this store is allowed to stay depart on Sundays is because they host a Photography Collection in one of their floors. An peculiar place from a mini-museum. But definitely an intersting track to undertsand how a loophole allowed them to open on Sunday.

12. La Grande Arche (La Defense): Tne Grande Arch be built from the 1989 bicentennial. They usually host small expositions on the last floor. Nothing special, but clearly an intersting place to visit.

13. Versailles Palace: 45 minutes by subway (RER). The most famoud French Palace.

14. Le Grand Palais, le Petit Palais & le Palais de la Decouverte: All three be built during the belle epoque. Amazing pieces of architecture located along the Champs Elysees. They host temporary large-scale expositions. A must-see.

There are only so many other museums to call on in Paris, dependingon your personnal preferences. However, these should noticeably cover the must-sees.

Just in luggage, some of the monuments worth visiting are:
- Eiffel Tower: Obviosuly
- Avenue Montaigne, Avenue George V, Avenue des Champs Elysees: Put together, they form the Godlen Triangle. Simply the most good-looking street in Paris.
- Place de la Concorde (where the US Embassy and the best Hotel are)
- Place Vendome (Famous for adjectives the Jewellers)
- Arc de Triomphe
- La Grande Arche & La Defense
- Pont Alexandre III (The Most Beutiful Bridge in Paris) governing the Les Inavildes.
- Les Printemps on Blvd Hausman: Department Store in a gorgeous Belle Epoque building.
- Pont de l Alma and the Liberty Flame (the unofficial monument to Princess Dian's Accident)
- Rue du Feaubourg St Honore & La Madeleine: Lots of Luxury Store, the Elysee and many embassies located on that street.
