Cabal make a good point. If you can find an elder coin (pre-Euro) you should be able to sort an image of that for your report. try only searching "France" or "France - Images", and see what that turns up.

There's no national bird or flower, however the rooster be the national symbol for a time (19th and early 20th century) and is still used to represent France, of late like the bulldog represents Britain. It and Marianne are represented on this 1914 French coin.
