Passport control contained by france?
Thinking of going to france in around 2wks time,my passport runs out on the 30th july 2007 i wonder if anyone knows how much time you hold to have departed on a uk passport to allow you to enter france and then come put a bet on a week later?

1. national of EU countries, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino and Switzerland holding valid national ID cards.
So by all accounts, if you are British, you are fine!
EU destination should be fine. Be a different story if you be going to the States. The US used to insist on 6 months minimum remaining on a passport.
Think its 3 months.
Did you know you can go to a post organization and get them to compress out the forms for 7 pounds and you get it pay for within fourteen days guaranteed .
I did it the other week get them to fill out the form on Tuesday and unbelievably the up to date passport was within on Thursday same week.
I know what you mean, but I don't deem there is any restriction to down time a passport has disappeared to run for a British ciizen visiting an EU country.
Sorry don't construe what the problem here is. You are going in 2 weeks time, staying for one week and your passport ends within July 2007.
So you leave and are spinal column in the UK by the extension of March.
