Adventures contained by Italy?

Three of my friends and I are going on a trip to italy/Greece; possibly a cruise. However, the only excursions are site seeing. We don't want to look at things the intact time we want to have FUN. Does anyone know how to construct Italy exciting, adventurous?

trussvilletravel.com has a great activitie scrabble. i totally agree that you shouldn't do a tour. from the trussvilletravel.com home page, click on extras(its along the top) and then contained by the lower center of the page click on tickets and activities or attractions, and a short time ago do a search from nearby, and you can find tons of cheap, cheap activities to do, though you might enjoy to sift out all the tours; ) . i'm a travel agent for trussville travel , and if you have need of help email me at trussvilletravel(a)yahoo.com . i hope this help!
Last fall one of my best friends and I go on a cruise to Italy, Greece and Turkey. If you're looking to have a fun time within the cities, most cruises probably aren't right for you. Older crowd, excursions were adjectives about visit historical sites and shopping for (IMHO) junk. The ship usually departed port by dinnertime, so we didn't see much local nightlife.

easyCruise has the most "fun" orient Mediterranean cruises. They stay overnight in ports so you own time to check out nightlife, and the people are closely younger than on other lines. (But FYI, they're also mostly European, especiallyBritish. Not sure if that matters.)

But surrounded by general, if you want exciting and adventurous, I'd say-so plan a land-based trip, maybe staying at hostels. Lonely Planet's guidebooks are really righteous for planning that kind of trip.
