Are in that voltage differences that I should know roughly speaking when going to Brazil?

Can I bring my ipod charger, cell phone charger, curling iron, etc and just plug it into the wall within Brazil? Or do I need an adapter? I am from California and wondering if there's a big difference within voltage between the US and Brazil

Answers:    Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and most of the South are 110V. Brasilia is 220V. The good hotels within main cities hold different outlets in different voltages so you can use any small appliances you bring. Some hotels tender adapters at no charge.
Be aware that wall outlets in Brazil use the round pins, not the flat ones resembling we have here contained by America, and you will very seldom find the ones next to the three holes, so you will need adapters for that too.
In Brazil two types of rigidity of 110W (in the state of the ParanĂ¡ exist, in the south) and of 220W (in the remaining portion of the country)… Ok! kisses
Depends on where on earth you are going. Some cities in Brazil are 110v and others are 220v. Sao Paulo city for example is 110v. Neighbouring San Jose dos Campos, by a hair`s breadth 70 miles away is 220v.
i've always be too lazy to check into that... i would purely plug all my stuff right contained by.. my camera charger.. and cell phone. and never had any problems..

i dunno ..
what problems should you own .. or what should happen ?
Most hotels put tag on the wall informing the voltage. Most places here are 220v, but some places like S~ao Paulo are 110v.
In Florianoplis, Santa Catarina here is a voltage difference. In places like Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo it is like. Ask me questions because I'm Brazillian.
Most voltage within South America is 220 volt. You have to check the actual location and hotel to see if they hold a 110 converted system or if they are on standard 220. If they are on 220, you can always buy a converter that will allow you to use your 110 electronics, but you hold to watch the wattage on things resembling hair dryers and curling irons.
