Brazil wall electric outlet?
what electric wall outlet adapter is used in Brazil.
Answers: what these guys said are adjectives very accurate
.
but double check beside more than one locals if you can, just to be sure.
when going here to visiti didnt and ended up burning my particularly very expensive flat iron...twice :(
also, here are outlet adapters and voltage adapter, you may need to use both. be carful not to carry electricuted (READ THE DIRECTION EACH TIME YOU USE IT,,, CAREFULLY) when using the voltage adapter, i got a nice ol mark from that.
hope that helps :)
Of 110 and 220 V
I am Brazilian!
rio de janeiro-110 V
sao paulo- 220 V
adjectives hotels now hold both ,you can use all .They own adaptors available too. . If you are not going to a big city mostly 2 holes 110 v.
In the major cities of Brasil nearly every electrical outlet is dual, for North American standards and European(minus the UK). The foremost cities being, Rio, Salvador, Brasilia, Belo Horizante, Porte Alegre, Forteleza, Recife and even some remote tourist areas resembling Foz do Iguacu. I am Brasilian-American so I frequent Brasil yearly. Hope this help
all outlets hold american flat and round tipped ones, but the round tipped ones are thiner than the euro ones.
So if you are comming from Europe, an american adpter is fine.
If you are comming from the US, you don't need adapters at adjectives.
As for voltage, Rio and S~ao Paulo are 110.
S~ao Paulo's countri side is 220 as well as the Northeast, Brasilia and the Center West and the North.

It looks like they use both the US flat pin and the European style round pin plugs.
depends on where on earth you go - when I lived surrounded by Sao Paulo, they use the ungrounded plug with two flat parallel prongs is pretty much standard surrounded by most of North and Central America.
I did on occasion project to areas where the two-wire plug is ungrounded and have two round prongs OR the plug with two flat parallel prongs and a grounding pin.
