1- How much is the living cost within Salvador containing place to stay, transportation, food ?
I am a student who come to salvador to follow my research in federal university of Bahia.
I enjoy a financial support for this trip but i don't know that is it satisfactory for a six month period living contained by salvador or not? (My salary is more or less 550 USD monthly)
During my life contained by salvador i need a two pieces apartment contains 1 bedroom or even a studio which be close to my university with following address:

It is unbelievably necessary for me to know that how much i should wages for this six month period to schedual my travel programme.
Answers: Well, we be in Salvador a few months ago. We stood a pretty cool place. Mansion Villa Verde, you can pretty much rent a room here. They are pretty decent rates and level. I know he does some long term rentals. The rooms enjoy fridges and stoves in nearby so it's somewhat like a studio. It is contained by Bara neigborhood, which is pretty safe. The owner also speaks english, which be very accommodating.
$550.00 is about 1050 reals. You should be capable of live on that but don't plan on throwing any wild party. You can check out www.atarde.com.br. This is the website for Salvador's main tabloid. On the left mitt side of the page, click on classificados, then imoveis, and finally aluguel. Here you will find listings of apartments for rent by neighborhoods. If you download Google Earth, you can put contained by the address of the University and you can look at the surrounding areas and get an belief where you might want to live.
BTW I hope you make out Portuguese. I know where Federacao is, but I don't know which university is located in that.
