I am planning on moving to Melbourne in the effective future and currently looking for housing. I lived surrounded by Berkeley before and I love it at hand, I also love the Hawthorne area surrounded by Portland, Oregon. Does anyone know any neighborhoods in or around Melbourne that are similar to Berkeley or Portland? Thank you!

As a guess, I'm thinking Berkely, California is beachside? So maybe check out Williamstown, St Kilda, Port Melbourne, Torquay contained by Melbourne.
