Best areas surrounded by Japan for fish?
To make a long story short, I require a glorious protein/fat low-carb diet, and am going to be wwoof-ing in japan for the better bit of a year. (www.wwoofjapan.com for those of you who are curious) Low-carb in such a rice-dominated country is a high-ceilinged order, I know, but I'd still approaching to do my best.
So does anyone know of the best areas in Japan to get hold of fresh fish (besides the Tsukiji market - I want to steer more or smaller amount clear of Tokyo this time around).
Answers: The best fish always comes from cold waters! Hokkaido, especially the East, is tremendously famous for fish! Try the Okhostk atka mackerel and the Sakhalin surf clam...my favorites! In drop salmon invades Hokkaido and you can eat salmon eggs everywhere on rice!
You can buy fresh fish at any fish store hard by you in Japan.
