About thailand?

I would like to turn to thailand for 2-3 months during the middle of June, but i have no notion of how to go almost it. Where would be the best place to go, i be thinking about ko somui. some body told me it be better to get a flight and return with accomodation when i get near. how much does an open flight cost and which is the best website to step to, and how much money would i need to stay at hand for 2 - 3 months.and how much is the accomodation out there. If you own been within how was it for you and please recount me your suggestions. Thanks x

Answers:    Nice definitely move about to Samui. Get a flight off Opodo.com fly to Bangkok, a moment ago to see it anyway. Take the bus from the airport to Koh san Road (which isn;t so nice but interesting to see) It's where adjectives the tourists go, and purely walk till you find a hotel, should be pretty cheap. Go to one of the hundreds of travel agents and book a flight for the subsequent day to Samui, or if you are adventurous cart the overnight bus. Either way when you return with to Samui, get one of the truck taxi that will fill beside lots of other people to hold you to Chawang, should cost about 50baht. When you capture to Chawang it is a big main road, within are many tons little guest houses down the side streets right off the largest road. If you go chronological the center you will see a bar call the cock and pullit on your right. The next street after it on your right will hold a nice guest house where I stayed almost a year ago. It's called the relax guest house...Cost is nearly 600 baht per night ( 9 quid) You will enjoy air conditioning, big bed, mini shaft nice place, full bathroom shower, quite luxury certainly.

Or when you get dropped at Chawang you can merely walk down the shoreline and stay at one of the huts on the beach...Charlie's Huts is the most popular and its also relatively cheap, but no air con and it get pretty hott.

While I was near we had a blast for more or less 6 weeks total cost was a thousand quid, not including flight and it be amazing. You will love it, if you decide to move about and need any guidance on where to hit, throughout Samui permit me know...The diving there isn;t so great but extraordinarily easy to attain a boat to koh tao, best time of my life...
You hold a little homework to do since you leave on your trip.

First you enjoy to purchase a round trip ticket to Bangkok. If your return is not definite you may opt for an "instigate jaw or break open return" ticket.

Plan on staying in Bangkok for a few days to catch used to the heat and time change. My advice is to find a hotel in Bangkok close the Skytrain so you can use that rapid transit system to bring around town. But, if you are young you may want to herald over to Khao San Road where lots of other really young at heart travelers stay at. (No Skytrain in the KSR nouns!)

Keep in mind that you probably won't stay solely in Ko Samui for the entire 2 or 3 months because that would be type of dumb to not see other places in Thailand unless you are running from the police!

You enjoy to figure out how you will do your visas. You can't freshly show up and park yourself in Thailand for 90 days in need proper documentation. If you are from the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Germany and most Western countries you will get a free 30 afternoon entry stamp in your passport. If you donate for a different country before your 30 days runs out (like Malaysia or Laos) when you return to Thailand you will achieve another free 30 day entry stamp. http://www.mfa.go.th/web/2482.php?id=249...

Only you know how much money you can afford for this trip. You enjoy to figure out how much per sunshine you can spend on a hotel, food, transportation, entertainment and "other stuff" that you might need.

Smaller towns will be cheaper to stay within unless you intend to stay in a admirer only room sharing a toilet and shower next to lots of "strangers" in some cheap dorm.

You might want to shorten your trip and stay contained by better hotels where you can hold some more security. Book your hotel room for Bangkok so you enjoy a place to go to right from the airport. You can clear your transportation arrangements in Bangkok at a local travel agency if you want. June is "low season" you would be capable of get cottage with a totter in contained by many areas. But, it is a cheap receiver call from Bangkok if you want to reserve a hotel within Koh Samui for a few days. After you get to that place you can look around for something cheaper to stay at.

If you can't come up near a at least a 1000 baht minimum per light of day then shorten your trip! A thousand baht would mostly be in recent times a cheap hotel and food. Probably having 2000 baht per afternoon would make your trip more satisfying. (You don't have to spend it adjectives every day - keep hold of some for special trips, etc.)

You can't just travel next to thousands of dollars in currency with you any - it's not safe! You own to figure out how to do paperwork your finances. Using a credit card in an ATM may incur big fees and interest too! You can clear up a debit card account contained by a bank or credit league that pays your ATM fees overseas. You can use the debit card in an ATM and go and get cash that bearing. You have to notify your wall or CU that you will be in Thailand or the card will be denied. You can procure 10,000 baht per day out of an ATM contained by Thailand. Some ATMs may be more.

(Pattaya may be cheaper than Koh Samui and it is not far from Bankok.)

Good luck.
thats a long time to spend in simply thailand alone, in my inference. koh samui is good, citizens mainly person in charge there for full moon party. accomodation in standard is relatively easy to come buy contained by thailand, but with koh samui's popularity i would suggest u book accomodation at lowest for the first few days of your trip.

would u move around a bit in thailand and see different things? this is what i would suggest. you could spend some time on koh tao island also, its worth it. possibly you could also visit phi phi, chiang mai, chiang rai, krabi, etc.

as for flights, you should ring STA to find out roughly open flights. they distinctly cost more though.

you will also need to brand sure you get yourself a visa
I'm from thailand stay contained by bangkok. i would to suggest you to go to "Bangkok", "Kho Sa-Mui", "Kho Lee-Pae" (Kho is thai expressions, it mean is land)

At Bangkok, you should turn to "Khao San" road (night market), dinner in a boat travelling on "Chao-Pa-Ya" river. You will find thai culture a long the river.

There are plentiful beutiful island in southern of thailand. Kho Lee-Pae is fundamentally far but i like it deeply much because it look like Kho Sa-Mui 10 years ago. you can snokling here.

Spa in thailand is also interesting if you want to relax.

I want to caution you something about some local service such as taxicab, they offen charge you more expensive than it should. May be thery charge you 500 baht for going from airport to bangkok but actual it should 200 baht only.

You can e-mail to me for relief, I appreciate it, because i want to improve my english skill, may be i can steal you around bangkok to see what ever you want.
I've been to Thailand and I strongly suggest not to run there in need any reservations in a hotel. Make sure that you arrange topography transfers (airport-hotel-airport). It is really hard to communicate near every single Thais. They can, rarely, speak English but you wouldn't deduce them anyway so to avoid confusion get a pack deals such as a concord that is inclusive of AIRFARE(2 approach ticket) + DAY TOURS + MEALS (usually buffet breafast) + HOTEL ACCOMMODATION. That way it would store you time, money and temper. If you plan to stay longer than a week afterwards advice the travel agent to achieve you an OPEN END ticket, then query through the internet for some lodgings in PRATUNAM nouns, that is where on earth affordable accommodations are including hotels. THEN, shift to CHATUCHAK...it's a weekend market where on earth you can SUPER SUPER AFFORDABLE clothes and some other stuff.go call in the floating market also and the PATTAYA nouns.

KUWAIT AIRWAYS is the best going to Thailand, you can also try CHINA AIRLINES or PHILIPPINE AIRLINES if you're coming from LAX.
as i dont dont know your tastes etc i would run about it approaching this, Catch a flight that gets you into Bangkok hasty in the morn, corner a taxi to anywhere on the koa san road (the travellers area) you've get the day next to walk around, suss out the nouns have something to guzzle and chat to st angers!! (its too easy to do!!) after you get withered with the ample darkness life within that area! subsequent day plan your trip on a fancy!! travel is that easy you can regulation your mind well flowing! north to Chang Mai (beautiful place) then over to Cambodia (visa's are comfortable to get over there) afterwards back to Thailand! or south to the beach! Close your eyes and pint at the map there are that copious but for a tip theres a gorgeous island off Ko Lanta or Krabi (cant remember) but its call Ko Bulon (Boulon)
Theres no roads just walking tracks and everlasting beaches!

For all along time your going dont think you enjoy to plan it all! newly wing it and i think you'll own the better time!
