2 question for those living contained by China READ & COMMENT pls :)?
Hi! Ok so I've lived in China for nearly 8 months now.. and I own two questions..
1.) Have you ever see so many pregnant women surrounded by your life!!? A simple pace to the store and I see about 8 pregnant woman lol... WOW could you consider if there WASN'T a one child per house policy!!? My gosh...
ok and 2.) Have you noticed that the supermarkets and restaurants are significantly over-staffed? Like there is 2-3 family for each isle! 2 populace standing by the doritos and 3 standing by the shelves of soy sauces!
And the restaurants always enjoy about 10-20 staff on even when in attendance is only 1 entity in the restaurant. and partially of them are usually sleeping on the tables...
So why is this?? Is hard work really THAT cheap for these supermarket and restaurant owners?? Doesnt that seem silly? I tried asking my chinese friends here.. but they didn't think through why I was confused...
Ok so why is that?
Answers: 1 - the basis there are lots of women have babies this year is b/c of the Olympics, during certain years and events, weddings and births increase b/c at hand is a belief that is is best to offer birth or get married at undisputed times, like August (8th month), 8th year, at 8:08 the Olympics will start, why b/c 8 is a lucky number, so, this is the thinking and reasoning behind conjugal and births, it is a lucky year for the Chinese b/c of the Summer Games
2 - Labor is cheap and to keep the laying-off rate down they give job to everyone and the pay is massively low, I have a friend to be exact an accountant, the company charges 800 RMB per hour and he gets 50 of it and he is an accountant, so, chew over of how little the supermarket worker gets, but, I must influence it keeps populace off the street and out of trouble
8 months is of late a start to know China and the Chinese. You only saw the tip of the iceberg.
#1 Question is, how lots kids you saw at McDonalds? Did you see the pregnant women with their husbands walking next to a kid? or a teenager?
#2 Have you be in restaurants where on earth all the table are occupied and the queue outside is as long as the Great Wall?
You made your friends confused too.
Enjoy your stay.

and to the 2nd module of you Question i guess they want the staff on hand if they capture a rush and they may be family owned & operate restaurants.
1) Its totally different from your description.
2) I doubt anything you are talking in the region of is happening. The freaking lines at the supermarket are extremely long and it take long waits surrounded by lineups a moment ago to buy a couple simple items. Reffering to big supermarkets such as Carrefour, Metro etc. In small ones though there aren't rank ups, all the personnel of the shop are extremely focused and seem to be contained by their right minds. Trust me, I've lived in Shanghai China for a 1 year total between 2004-2006 and surrounded by another part of China which probably not a soul has ever hear about for a total of 3 years.
I doubt you are evening living contained by China unless its in a district to be precise very isolated and unexpected.
