If you're press for time while in Argentina vacationing for the first time, where would you go first? and why?

assuming you are in Buenos Aires.

Answers:
There are a lot of things to do in Bs As. The first thing you should do is go to "Plaza de Mayo", around that square you'll find the goverment house, the cathedral and the "cabildo". Then you should go to La Boca and walk along Caminito street, it's beautiful though a little smelly.. good for shopping some crafts. You shouldn't miss the opportunity of going to Boca Juniors soccer stadium called La Bombonera, you can get some real Argentinian feeling there, but be careful.
You can go to Puerto Madero too, especially for eating. Don't forget to eat some Argentinian meat, we're famous for that. The best pizza is at Los inmortales, a little old-fashioned, but who cares! If you have a little more time you can go to Tigre, that's outside the city but on weekends there's a fantastic market and it's really cheap. You can buy almost anything, especially crafts. If you like animals, In Escobar, there's Temaiken a fantastic open air zoo. If you like art and culture you can go to the Colon Theater, but I'm not really sure what's going on there. Corrientes street is famous for never sleeping and there are a lot of theaters, but you need spanish for that.
I suggest that you consider extra time to leave Bs As and go to the provinces. Three places in particular: Iguazú Falls in Misiones, to the north, and to the south, El Calafate, where you'll see fantastic glaciers and Ushuahia, the southernmost city in the world.

Well you've got a really good answer from the other girl, but I would suggest if you can, go to Bariloche, it is Southwest of Argentina, it is a wonderfull place.
