anyone living in argentina right now?? should i move back to argentina!??

i was born in cordoba and lived there till i was 10 before my parents moved to the united states. im still a citizen of argentina but i have permanent residency in the united states. my spanish is a little rusty but my parents speak it at home so a little practice and i should be ok!

anyway, i cant stand living in the united states and im thinking that after grad school and working for a few years, i want to move back to argentina. i would have to give up my united states residency which means that i wouldnt be able to go back to the united states unless i was able to get a perment job.

do you think this is a good idea!?? what do you think my chances of getting a job in argentina are? i work in the museum/art history/anthropology profession.

oh God, can we switch places? I was also born in Cordoba but have been living in the States for 5 years.until next week when my visa expires. And i don't want to go back because of the uncertainty of everything.
There's a 15%-20% unemployment rate in Argentina right now, and it doesn't look like things are gonna change any time soon. It's be hard for you to find a job, especially in that field. If i was you, i'd stay here, get the citizenship and then give Argentina a try if you want to so much. Just don't expect everything to be the same, especially big cities like Cordoba. It's pretty unsafe. Good luck whatever you decide.

If you became a citizen in USA, you won't have a problem. Are you serious about Brazilian players tanking the game? That's ridiculous. They rather get kill than do that.
I would say that Argentina is probably changed quite a bit since you last lived there, especially if it was before the economic collapse. Though the country is rebounding, there are a lot more available jobs here in the US. Jobs that involve stuff like anthropology are going to be fairly tough to find, especially at decent wages. Cordoba is still beautiful, so you should definitely go back and visit and don't worry about your Spanish. I would say go back, see how it is, and then decide if think you can find a job there.
