A flight attendant friend give me a buddy standby flight and not here me next to his hand info...?
Anyway, this young man owed me rent that he have no money for so gave me a buddy flight. He planned it in front of me and I remunerated taxes and fees. The flight is for this Mon. the 21st.. I recently found out he delete the flight evidently b/c he had spent my money for taxes and fees and didn't want to remuneration them?? I have be trying hard to accomplish him by email and phone to no avail..It's obvious I am anyone avoided. He did leave me his member of staff ID info. to get into his hand page to check flights, book flights, etc. Since I have run out of time, I go into the employee verbs and booked my own standby flight which I will again have to payment taxes and fees on but it's better than having to settle up LOTS of money that I do not have at the closing minute for a very expensive flight. My merely concern is that although he owes me this flight and the $$$, plus left me his member of staff ID info., can I get within trouble for booking my own buddy standby flight on his acct? I do not believe so but want to be sure.
Answers: I'm an employee of a US principal, and maybe I can give a hand a bit. At my company, the taxes and fees are actually deduct from the employee's paycheck after the trip is completed. We do have an picking of paying the taxes and fees in mortgage, but a credit card would have be needed when he booked your listing. Did you income him cash? If he owed YOU, why did you remuneration the fee's and taxes??
My guess is that he thinks he's get your money and you have no recourse. He's to a certain extent right. You could go into his company's website lower than his emp # and password and book your flight, but it really wouldn't take much for him to do a bit of research to find your flight listings and any cancel your return while you're in that, or cancel it adjectives together. AND he might then conveyance his password and lock you out of the system and then you're stuck.
This guy sounds approaching a real piece of work. If zilch else and you find yourself out both the rent AND the taxes, etc., there is still something you can do. It might not carry your money back, but it can sure wreak havoc beside his ability to even use his own pass for a while. Go to or call the airline he works for, and ask for any the number for the companies corporate security or the member of staff pass bureau. If that get you no help, simply ask to speak beside any customer service supervisor, and explain the situation to them. It is not permitted at my company for employees to barter or go the buddy passes for profit or trade. Violations similar to this could result in the loss of hand travel benefits and up to termination. Be sure you take adjectives the information you have available to you ie, the employee's ID number, and access codes to the company webpage (the reality that he gave that you, a 'non-employee' is a huge no no), and any receipts you might hold (cancelled check). I can't say what the outcome will be, but collectively, the company I work for would appreciate knowing that an employee of theirs is scamming potential customers. Good luck!
I agree beside the other airline workers on here. We are responsible for everything that happens on the hand websites under our designation. And for how our "buddies" act on flights and at the airport. You could also find him in trouble for giving out his private information. The personage that mentioned he could cancel your return flight, and transmutation his password while you are gone has a VERY fitting point. I would definitely use some admonition in this situation. If he isn't paying you, why don't you in recent times evict him? Rather than making the situation possibly worse.for everyone.
If he doesn't know about the flight and didn't distribute you permission to do so consequently you are effectively an identity thief. He isn't supposed to make available that information out but using it without his knowlege is a short time ago like taking the information from him. He could wallet charges.
Yes, you are lieing, and that is fraud. I would report this to the airline, turn contained by his id and hoof it away, you got ripped sour...
i work for an airline and buddy travelers dont pay the company, it comes straight out of our checks. so, budge ahead and go stand by, u wont achieve in trouble. adjectives liability of you on his pass is his responsibility. nearby is a way that team can ban a buddy from flying on our pass but if the computer let u document yourself for a flight then ur shady flight attendant didnt rejection you.
how ever u act at the takings or on the plane completely reflects him and we, as organization, sign and agree all responsibility for our "buddy" flyers. so, find drunk, yell, screech at ppl and your flight attendant will get contained by serious trouble.
