Please help!!

Answers:    The answers that influence you cannot use American Airlines miles to discount a fare in conjunction beside cash is wrong. AA does allow folks to pay a combination of currency and miles for a variety of awards -- the association to the page describing these types of awards is below.

That being said, however, 2,000 miles is not plenty to utilize this program -- the cheapest mileage award for a discount needs 10,000 miles. And, as have already been described, it take 25,000 miles to get a domestic coach award ticket or 15,000 miles to upgrade a domestic remunerated coach ticket to first class (not 5,000).
No.

You need 5,000 for an upgrade from Economy to First beside them (which is what I use my miles for 'cause I can't stand to be in the chattel section).

You have need of 25,000! for a full ticket in Economy for a domestic flight.

They don't do discounts.
Unfortunately, On AA, miles can't work contained by conjunction with brass to reduce a fare. You any have to hold the required number of miles to travel from Vegas to Chichago or pay for the trip. The merely airline that offers miles and change is BMI.
